Description
Although worldwide grapefruit consumption might be in decline, Grapefruit, after Lemons, is Turkey’s most tradable citrus item. Grapefruits from Turkey are exported to almost everywhere in the world, to markets ranging from Japan to Canada and even to South Africa; and Star Ruby is the corner stone for the Turkish Grapefruit trade. Turkish Star Ruby is a beautiful looking fruit with great color and smooth, shiny skin. Yet the extreme periodicity and high acid content are the biggest factors that are keeping it from becoming a more popular item. Abundant sizes differ from year to year.
Recommended period for export is week 42 to week 15.
